At a certain age you had to either go up to Babe Ruth league or if you couldn't make that there was a still relatively competitive older equivalent of little league, and I was not cut out for the former and the latter stopped being fun because not many friends did it. This included riding my bike to baseball practice. We used to play whiffle ball in the streets of the neighborhood and baseball practice was basically a more organized version.
I loved that when your team was up at bat, you could actually bullshit and tell jokes with your teammates in the dugout. |
