there are jobs that require you to submit ur information to their personal in-house job application on their website. u r literally required to type in ur name, address, references, work history.
Jobs that require resume + cover letter are best

tech job I recently applied for had two extra sections:
"Tell us what makes you unique in 150 characters or less. Say something that will get you noticed!"
and
"Tell us something about you that makes you a perfect fit for this job and can't be found on your resume in 300 characters or less"
