Date: July 10th, 2017 11:09 AM Author: Fear-inspiring purple brunch sandwich This has been the big offseason narrative. I'm not a coach so TIFWIW but people around the program believe that the "gunslinger" label is not appropriate and that many of those passes were not actually 50/50 balls.
One does hope that a season of experience will lead to slightly better decisions, however, and they do have a heisman frontrunner in the backfield as well. |

Particularly w/ a back like Barkley, where vertical stretch is going to open the running game. I'd call them 50/50 balls just because I don't know if any of the PSU receivers are true game breaker types. Maybe I'm wrong on that, we'll see this year. But throwing into single coverage doesn't make one a gunslinger, or indicate a questionable decision, regardless of the outcome. So I'd agree with that.
