given that millenials are dirt poor, have low marriage rates, and reject tradition, i'm guessing yes.
i don't think gay weddings will make up the difference, even accounting for the divorces and rings lost to anus.

Some stones are harder to recreate because it is the inclusions and imperfections that make them beautiful. So for example a created emerald or blue sapphire looks like shit, even though the chemical structure of the created stone is identical. They look too perfect and therefore fake.
But a created white sapphire looks exactly like a real one. It's the kind of stone where you're going for perfection anyway. Same with diamonds.
