lol @ this biglaw to med school plan

unless you want to devote your life to birthing Peruvian jungle babies why

if you're really washed out as a lawyer, you'll prob crash and burn hard during residency and end up making peanuts in some shitjob with more debt. at 40.

I know someone that did this, but she REALLY wanted to be a dr. bad idea if you're just seeking preftige or more money, as there are usually better ways to advance your position at 30.

lot of good comments here

i know a couple of guys in their late 30s doing it, but they are all chads with great metabolisms and high energy levels, and strong motivation, physically fit, don't need lots of sleep and aren't fat.

It is way more physically demanding than you'd expect. You need to be on point, every single day, and it is very high stress and lots of studying. And you very likely underestimate the low esteem that medical students and junior residents are held in in the hospital...you are useless and in the way for years, and are treated as such...it is very psychologically/emotionally stressful.

But if you think you can do it, it's cool once you're on the other side, and you get to see lots of cool shit.

if you have a bachelor's you can go back to school for a year or 2 in an accelerated program and make 6 figures as a nurse or pa, it's awesome

doctor,

but seriously don't go to med school, you're looking at 7 years of eating shit every day, opportunity cost, and huge debt, vs 1 to 3 years of nurse/pa school and big money and a lot less debt and it's less mentally fatiguing

no chance in fuckign hell i am signing up for 7 more years of school/training. fuck that.

the PA thing sounds 180. and i enjoy learning about bio/human body stuff. but the prospect of taking on MOAR students loans is barf.
