Because these days they control the corporations so it helps their agenda. Ultimately, it is all about the agenda.

Because only good intentions matter, even if they wind up helping the wealthy and screwing the poor even worse every single time

LOL @ thinking they genuinely give a shit about the poor. The only job of the poor is becoming dependant on their handouts and becoming a permanent underclass that consistently votes for them anyway. All of the people running shit for Democrats are American oligarchs.

Libs are increasingly 1. uber rich CEOs who want open borders because they want GDP growth, skilled workers, and a growing population. They also are the leading advocates of universal basic income, which would turn a lot of the population to mindless drones who simply earn advertising revenue for them by clicking on FB all day, or 2. beta males, ugly shrews who want to tear down the social hierarchy they cant compete in with smarter, harder working, and better looking people. the nature of the ideology attracts the megarich and the losers. the losers often believe in nothing except the uber rich CEOs - "Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Jobs are geniuses!" For them the CEOs and ideology are like gods and religion.

Libs engage in the logical fallacy of anything that dislikes Trump is good. So now Bush and corporations are good.

Because big corporations give liberal sentiments lip service. To a large portion of liberals lip service is all they care about.

big corporations are less likely than small business to insist their entire business will be fucked if they're forced to hire blacks or build ramps to their store entrances or whatever
