river: 8s
value bet, figured he had AQ that busted, AA, or 99-JJ raise half my remaining stack, bb calls, i show the flush he had trips (10-Ko) (he showed even though he could've mucked)
seems like he fucked up not raising on the turn |

X/r is OK since he should be stabbing with hands he'll fold, we have a sweet spot to semi-bluff as a result. Plus, after we flop a flush draw being this shallow we need to make sure we realize all our equity--we can never not see at least the river. Jamming it in here ensures that while simultaneously maximizing our fold equity.
Easiest river you'll ever have to play.
Preflop is meh, think you can limp a lot here and frequently angle to limp/jam since BB will be stealing often and you'll get tons of folds that way plus never have worse than like 35% equity vs his calling range. If raising, should prob go smaller, we want to keep his range wide. Also totally fine to just jam it in right away. One reason I also dislike raising non-all in is it makes a lot more sense for V to jam vs a raise (he'd be sizing like 6x vs your open compared to 15x vs your limp). The worst possible scenario preflop is having to call all-in--this hand needs fold equity to be profitable. |
