There doesn't seem to be an exchange for US citizens that allows shorting, but I've never used leverage at all.

If you have, what strategies have you employed to make safe bets?

Also, where do you trade? Do you short?

Do not do this. This is probably the dumbest way to trade crypto. The market is very volatile and prone to manipulation, and a flash temporary swing could completely wipe out your account. Normal equities see flash crashes once in a blue moon, and a 10% swing is considered huge, yet short selling and margin trading are considered risky. Crypto has 10% daily swings multiple times per week, and has seen 30%+ daily swings perhaps once or twice a month on average. Even if you're right more often than not, there's a good chance your account gets blown the fuck up. If a trade moves against you rapidly, you likely won't be able to hodl through it without kicking in more extra money than you're comfortable with. There is a reason many exchanges *willingly* disabled something that was probably very profitable for them.

This guy is a huge pussy and an idiot. Obviously only start with a small account. Have wide margin calls. Only bet what you can afford to lose. Understand risk/reward etc.
