How does being in-house at a private equity fund compare to biglaw?

Major city. 6th year associate. Pay is about $180k base, bonus can range from $30k to $70k, and they can invest in fund deals as well. She prefers it to biglaw mainly because of the hours and people. Even if you make $200k/yr as in-house counsel, you'll probably be working with guys the same age as you making $200k PER MONTH. |
