you look at Harrison Ford in any movie, and if you don't pay close attention, you can't tell that he has slight diffuse thinning.

I'm the same way. my hair was so thick to begin with that you can't even tell it is thinning. but I can tell that it is ever-so-slightly thinner every year.

I think this is pretty normal. It ain't gonna get thicker, but the thinness might be exacerbated by your shampoo regimen.

Shampoo makes your hair limp, and as you get older, the limpness is more noticeable. When I decreased the amount I used, and only shampooed once every few days, it really thickened my hair. Made a huge difference for me, just washing my hair with water on some days. Sometimes I just take a small bit of shampoo, lather it up in my hands, and rub what's left of it into my hair.

I end up with thicker hair that has a better hold, without having to resort to gels or pomades or any of that shit.

yeah, it's true that 99% of men have at least some gradual thinning throughout the life cycle. even guys who are celebrated for having "full heads of hair" into their 80s do not maintain the same thickness they had in their teens.

it's all a matter of degree.

I do the same thing with shampoo. use just enough shampoo to clean you hair without entirely stripping every last bit of natural oil from your scalp. it's unnatural to strip our hair of all oil, daily, and then RE-ADD oil (pomade, etc).
