there are all sorts of small-scale events that may be "miracles," i.e., somebody declared dead all the sudden lives.
or big-scale "miracles" like the 6-day war which military historians cant even explain. |

how does one trace any suspected miracle back to that cause? man dies and is clinically dead for 10 minutes, no brain wave or heartbeat, nothing. he's brought back to life with a defibrillator. god or we just don't understand on a granular enough level the human body and how it makes sense that he could live again? or cancer is cured when the diagnosis was death. guy prayed to mother theresa or there is an alternative explanation?
to the extent any phenomena exist that we truly cannot explain, like fish being multiplied and water turning to wine, which has not happened anytime recently, how does it make sense to attribute them to a god?
that would apply to many small scale events i guess. 6-day war: higher iq people with national unity and prussian style general staff war against lower iq tribalism with inferior tech and nepotistic militaries. non-deity explanation for israel seizing gaza, west bank and golan heights? |
