You never HAVE to go anywhere, you can pay a change fee to swap the dates and routing or a fee to redeposit the miles in your account. Likewise, AMEX and Chase points that you haven't transferred don't expire. Less frequent travel would make it harder to accumulate as many points, which would make Delta's exorbitant redemption rates even worse on you no? I've had frequent flier points expire before. I just didn't think about it for a year, didn't fly the airline, and they're gone. Like I get it, you're all about travel, so that isn't a concern for you. But the simplicity of Delta works well for me. |
