Need a car under 20k

30-45 minutes in traffic a day, so prefer something that's nicer.
looking for something used, up to 10 years old, with under 75k miles. I expect to sell around 100-115k miles, so don't need to worry too much about reliability beyond that.
Need something that has room (I'm tall), has some acceleration/torque/hp, and preferably something on the newer side (3-5 years old) so I can have modern electronics. |

Civic has a more fuel efficient engine. The Mazda drives slightly better but burns 10% more fuel. The Mazda has the nicer interior by far. The Honda holds its resale better. The Mazda 2017 and now the 2018 has added over 100 pounds of sound proofing material over the 2016 and older. They are both quiet cars now. The Mazda is sportier so sits on a tighter suspension but the TTT Sport has the 16 inch tires so it's not a harsh ride at all. Move up the 18 inch tires and you get a much harsher ride but people who do this know what they are getting. With larger tires you feel every bump way more.
