We have the tech to produce 100s times the output we reasonably need. We should be able to live comfortable lives with little stress or having to do tasks we do not care to do. But even with the incredible productivity, we have to struggle to maintain even adequate lives.

this seems backwards. The economic advances from tech innovation have stripped away many of the previously vital functions of institutions. As a result they've morphed into pure rent-seeking scams. They still exist, in name only, but their sole remaining purpose is enriching insiders.
