If you talk about giant megacorps controling society and redefining social norms most normies will think you are a tin foil hat type. So how to describe GC to them?

normies ARE gc

it's like trying to convince the tentacle of an octopus of the ills of the octopus

I think people are receptive to the idea that capitalism might not actually work for everyone and when you reduce life to selling and buying, it means we have less meaning or at least treat each other poorly -- Rand is a fag

Maybe, and sure that works for commies. But I'm thinking more along the lines of "capitalism is fine...farmer bob should be able to sell crops to a local company, but GC is evil." And that's a harder distinction to make.

most people don't think of farmer john when they think of capitalism

they think McDonalds

it's hard because the "GC" critique implies a sort of nexus of power and control and it's almost a conspiracy theory, so I see that being hard to convey

“I grew up loving Capitalism and what it stood for in America. But these days capitalism comes with a heavy dose of thought control and forced conformity with certain value judgments.

That’s not American Capitalism. That’s Global Capitalism.”
