it's crazy enough that life exists period but man's intellect, self-awareness and communication abilities are just incredible. a bunch of weird hairless apes took over everything.

but how can we maek it?

"In about one billion years, the solar luminosity will be 10% higher than at present. This will cause the atmosphere to become a "moist greenhouse", resulting in a runaway evaporation of the oceans. As a likely consequence, plate tectonics will come to an end, and with them the entire carbon cycle. Following this event, in about 2-3 billion years, the planet's magnetic dynamo may cease, causing the magnetosphere to decay and leading to an accelerated loss of volatiles from the outer atmosphere. Four billion years from now, the increase in the Earth's surface temperature will cause a runaway greenhouse effect, heating the surface enough to melt it. By that point, all life on the Earth will be extinct."

wouldn't hold your breath waiting for the SMOD, but a civilization ending impact at some point in the future will 100% happen; our only hope of survival is to spread throughout the solar system. our destiny lies in the stars.

is that merely temporary as well? won't those stars expand to engulf all their planets or deny them the heat needed to continue? what happens to the universe itself over time?

it will require us freezing embryos to as close to 0 Kelvin as we can to slow down aging (stop cellular metabolism/senescence), because we can't travel fast enough to get anywhere in a reasonable timeframe, assuming we can figure out how to unfreeze the embryos and raise them into adult humans (likely with robot parents on the ship and videos to educate them), and hopefully those people in the ship can figure out if the planet we shot them at is good or not for habitation (most likely not) and settle it

We do this maybe 10, 20, 50 thousand ships with embryos and robots, if there is a habitable planet maybe we will get lucky with ONE of those ships and everything goes right.
