I guess the practical sense is we value killing insects less than mammals and destroying more economically valuable property than less valuable.
the interesting question is: suppose you witness a homeless bum strangling your family pet. if you don't act, the dog will die by his hand. do you have a moral and also a legal right to kill that man to save your pet dog? |
