Yes I am. I'm underpaid - I can get a similar gig paying $40-50k more, which would go a long ways for me as a single bro. Also, I got fucked at my current job in terms of promotions I was promised. Many of the execs I reported through left and partially as a result of that my group as a whole has been devalued, plus I lost my biggest supporters. My path to rising through the ranks has gotten a lot narrower here as a result.

No it isn't. Your employer has a stock letter confirming your position and salary generated when you leave. This is sent to the background check agency once you consent to it, which is required before they hire you.
