Be honest with yourself, if you are a happy person and/or generally know how to make yourself happy, BIGLAW probably won't be hell. But, if you are a miserable person anyway you will hate BIGLAW. |

Then they realized the only actual jobs in law which don't require bootstrapping are in biglaw, you can't just make the theoretical spacelaw practice of your dreams materialize out of nowhere, and subsequently are thoroughly miserable. Not only to they have to come to terms with the fact that they were an idiot, but now instead of doing what they were "supposed" to do (ie some vague dream) they end up doing some of the most pointless make-GC work that exists and work more hours than all of their non-finance friends (even if the average is less than what xo makes it out to be).
