Prob 15-18. 13-14, your cycles are still a bit wonky from just starting your period so hormonal balance may not be optimal for fertility.

Because that’s just the peak. Teens are still developing, and their hormone levels haven’t reached the prime adult state yet. Mid 20s is still a very young woman, fwiw.

if i recall correctly, early to mid 20s is the best because death and complications are least likely in that age range. It takes a long time for a woman to store up enough meat and fat to birth a healthy baby.

Too lazy to back this up with any legwork, but I can believe that back when girls were getting their period at 17 and shit that early 20s would be peak.

Maybe it's outdated data. Or, even more retardedly, sources are using the ages at which most women **have babies** and confusing that for peak fertility. (You laugh and say it isn't possible, but I've seen methodologies literally that dumb in print.)

what's really interesting is that we have never before had babies at such late ages...so for most of human history women started having children whenever they had their periods and were done having kids by the time they were 30.

Now all these women are waiting until their late 20s and 30s to even start having children, which is putting massive selection pressure on women, selecting for an elongated fertility window. I wonder what kind of downstream effects there will be.

They weren't done by 30. Women have been having kids in their 30s and 40s since the beginning of time.

There was no birth control and women remain able to conceive into their 40s; how would people prevent this?

most women under 35 or even 40 can push out 1 child.

if your goal is 2.1 neurotypical kids and still have enough sex appeal for hedonism II at negril, start before 26.

Cr. We also forget the average age a women got their first period used to be much later than it is today, at around 15-17. Western European women inside the hajnal line didn't marry until early 20s.

Women today also interestingly have about twice as many periods over their lifetime compared to women 100 years ago.

It's early 20s

Teens actually don't have very good stats when it comes to child birth. A lot of premature babies and problematic deliveries.
