I can drink a stupendous amount, even on no tolerance, with little to no perceptible impairment. My verbal fluency remains; however, my psychotic side comes to the fore and I start organizing people toward mischief and mayhem. It's a dangerous state: to be mad but not marked mad. Id reigns.
Even so, I think this has less to do with IQ than genes relating to alcohol digestion &c. For example, high IQ Asians are often lightweights.
