And if you don't know what you're doing you can screw them up and they become shitheads when they get older. They also go through shitty teenage years just like humans. For example, our dog had phases like "I hate all humans" and "I hate all dogs". All while living in Manhattan. It wasn't great...
Just saying - getting an older dog that is done with all that and who you know is well behaved can make life a LOT easier.

LOL I've adopted two dogs in MFH. You either suck at using the internet or won't pass their screenings, in which case, you'd be a shitty dog owner.
You don't need a specific breed or some BS "hypoallegenic" dog. Just be a half way decent person and find a rescue, even if it means taking the train 20 fucking minutes outside MFH.
You're just here looking for validation for being an ass hole who just wants a "fluffy" cute one like some dumb shrew obsessing over what to get off the brunch menu, rather than thinking about how it's an actual living thing.
Not only will you be an actual ass hole, but people in MFH will immediately know you're a narcissistic ass hole when you tell them about your designer dog.

Never had the ruckus phase that bad, totally chill, smart but loves everybody and all dogs. Really one of the best decisions I've ever made even though I work a fuckload. Getting him as a puppy was tough but worth it knowing I raised him.
Doodles aren't real dogs, FYI. |

My dog is an English Lab which you should consider because they are way more chill than their field/American brothers. I think English labs are fine for MFH but an American lab might get stir crazy. I don't think Golden's have the same thing. |
