It seems she is primed for spurious inductive reasoning. For example, recently my wife couldn't remember the words to THE GRINCH song; I sang it; and later she reported, "MOM only BOYS know the words to that song, NOT GIRLS, daddy is a boy."

I suppose this is an ordinary part of growing up - making and holding one spurious induction after another, the facile ones beaten out of you by experience (if important), and the hammer of time eventually molding even your perceiving instruments.

I had a long convo with my friend whose toddler has a genetic defect and whether they are going to have another. Chances of the same defect happening are basically nil but there’s the question of fairness to your existing and to your second child in making this decision. I don’t know how I would deal with it. Youre a good dad.
