They used to pretend to support Trump because he was anti GC.

Now they've dropped all pretense and just admitted they are amused by the reality tv star.

Being realistic.... Congress isn't going to pass something like that because it would piss off their donors too much.

Dems wouldnt either.

He can't control that.

But as a champion of fairness and equality and the working man he has surely used his bully pulpit to push for this policy and others which are less slanted toward the GC elite, right?

Or did he push a tax break disproportionately benefiting the wealthy and including an estate tax repeal designed solely to benefit the ultra wealthy?

The tax plan is good for the middle and lower class, no matter what your CNN overlords tell you.

If it also helps the wealthy then so be it... Any benefit to them will be considered "disproportionate" by people like you because they already pay 95% of the taxes.

Obama and dems had plenty of time to eliminate carried interest "loophole".

Sure. It's much much much better for ultra wealthy GC royalty like RSF and his ilk.

But yeah Donald is a champion of the lil guy lmao.

"Obama and dems had plenty of time to eliminate carried interest "loophole"."

The dems started proposing bills to get rid of it back in 2007. Obama was behind it and virtually all of the dem caucus wanted it gone. After '08 they lost a lot of time trying to pass ACA and trying to woo a few GOP votes to ACA, which required them to back down on eliminating it (they ended up not getting a single GOP vote for ACA anyway). Then they needed GOP Sen Scott Brown's vote to pass the financial reform bill so again it got shelved. Then they lost the House in 2010.

You could definitely say they didn't prioritize it versus other items on their agenda (ACA, Financial Reform, stimulus bill). But you can't just ignore the GOP's stated position on it and the fact that the GOP has fought hard to protect it.
