incredible - every year for the last 500 years the villagers of this remote part of Peru have rebuilt this bridge made out of grass rope.
the world has changed so much during that time. The Inca Empire fell. The Spanish empire rose and fell. Countless wars have been fought between Peru, Bolivia, Chile, etc. Yet the people here keep passing on this bridge building tradition - and chill hats too. |
