Israel annexed East Jerusalem in a move that was never recognized internationally, they took it by force.
Why does Israel think Jerusalem is their capital? Why it's in the Bible of course! Section 6, paragraph 8, or some shit. Ordained by God.
Ultimately, this doesn't move all parties in the direction of peace, but the opposite. God is not a real estate agent and does not do land deals.
