Speaking purely from a practical point of view, isn't training people to not take offense potentially a more viable solution to the harassment problem than trying to change behavior? People like to reject this idea on moral grounds about responsibility, etc., but if we're just trying to solve the problem of psychological harm created by other people's behavior, eliminating the feeling of being offended is a legitimate solution. We may still need to prohibit favoritism and behavior that has functional job consequences, but that is not the main criticism about creepy behavior.

There's a feedback effect too - borderline types see other borderline types being rewarded for crazy and broadcasting it, so they compete to be even more victimized. You can see the game play out when libs meet up - who is the most victimized, who is truly suffering, etc.

Do you think most intelligent libs secretly acknowledge that a lot of people should just chill the fuck out and stop being fags about this stuff?

"The man who lies to himself can be more easily offended than anyone else. You know it is sometimes very pleasant to take offense, isn't it? A man may know that nobody has insulted him, but that he has invented the insult for himself, has lied and exaggerated to make it picturesque, has caught at a word and made a mountain out of a molehill--he knows that himself, yet he will be the first to take offense, and will revel in his resentment till he feels great pleasure in it."

The Democratic Party has basically been co-opted by the victimization mentality as a political platform, electoral strategy and industry. Race has become an industry and it has many profiteers and attention seekers. It’s because there’s money involved. Rational thinking and practicality don’t pay dividends like being the eternal victim.

Additionally, psychologically speaking being a victim allows one to disassociate ones own failures and shortcomings from ones own actions and thinking and place the blame externally and those demonized or sympathetic to victims can placate feelings of guilt or seek reassurance and acceptance via virtue signaling to absolve them of bad feelings or gain a sense of moral superiority. Psychologically it’s sick, self-reinforcing and appealing to many people.
