Why doesn't society accept the "stop being offended by stuff" strategY

People like to reject this idea on moral grounds about responsibility, etc., but if we're just trying to solve the problem of psychological harm created by other people's behavior, eliminating the feeling of being offended is a legitimate solution. We may still need to prohibit favoritism and behavior that has functional job consequences, but that is not the main criticism about creepy behavior.
