Sarah Palin’s son Track reportedly assaulted his father Todd after ‘freaking out’ on pain medication
Track Palin, the troubled son of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, beat up his father at their family home after they got into an argument about a truck on Saturday night, according to court records.
The records, obtained by the Anchorage Daily News, say Track Palin was "freaking out" on "some type of medication" when cops showed up at the Palin family home in Wasilla around 8:30 p.m.
The Palin son had become enraged after his father, Todd Palin, told him he couldn't take the family truck because he had been drinking and taking pain medication, according to police.
"Track told him he was (going to) come anyway to beat his a--," states an affidavit filed by one of the arresting officers.
Sarah Palin's son Track arrested for burglary, assault in Alaska
After getting off the phone with his son, Todd Palin told police that he got his pistol out to "protect his family."
But Track Palin caught his father by surprise when he broke through a window and managed to wrestle him to the ground. Palin then began hitting his father repeatedly in the head, according to records.
Todd Palin managed to escape his son's grip and bolted from the house with blood running down his face, according to cops. Meanwhile, his wife, Sarah Palin, called police.
Track Palin was slammed with several charges, including felony first-degree burglary, misdemeanor criminal mischief and fourth-degree assault, and remained in custody as of Monday morning.
This is not the Palin son's first run-in with the law.
Last year, Palin was arrested after drunkenly punching and kicking his ex-girlfriend before threatening to take his own life, according to a police report.
Sarah Palin, who ran a failed Republican White House bid with Sen. John McCain in 2008, has blamed her son's criminal behavior on post-traumatic stress disorder, which he supposedly contracted after his military deployment to Iraq.
