The only somewhat fair thing I can think of is give the kids some split of their jersey sales and sales of other things using their likeness. Then it’s tied to the kids actual worth in the market. Not some “oh Ohio State made money last year so I should get some” horseshit |

i wouldn't say people don't care about CBB as a sport. perhaps FEWER people do, but who cares? |

This is likely because most years there's a sharper cutoff between the boundary of top 8-10 than there is for the top 3-5. Playoffs suffer from same issues determining top 3-5 teams (a "top 5" team can reasonably win championship) as the bcs did from determining the top 1-3 or so teams. |

5 P5 Champions + 1 Non-P5 + 2 next best teams. Undefeated UCF like teams could always get a shot, Conference champs always get a spot, and there is still space for 2 eye test teams like Bama who don't win their conference but are obviously top EIGHT.
Should eliminate 2 regular season games as well, keep each game interesting. So 11 games + CCG or consolation game for non-CCG teams (low tier bowls) + Playoffs. Every team plays 12 games, top 2 play 15. |
