we live by her parents and her mom sends over like 6 lunches/dinners per week.

our own money:

groceries: $60/week

dinners out: $50/week

random lunches: $50/month

so ballpark ~500/month

I keep my mandatories low so I can have more fun when money is flowing. We go out a lot (probably too much).

Biggest mandatories:

Mortgage: $1400

Student loan: $750

Phone (50% writeoff): $235

Incidentals:

Poison (collecting for the cellar and drinking out): varies, $250-$750 usually

Food, meals out and other entertainment: usually around $750 per month

I cut the latter two down to poverty level when necessary but that hasn't been the case for several years now, thankfully.

Yes.

Every so often my wife will go up into the attic and bring down a set of large bins. She will then put another set of bins that were chilling somewhere in the living space up in the attic.

Occasionally she will acquire more bins to put useless shit in.

That's mostly eating out, too, which I do about 2 times per week (almost always some sort of fast food, $6-10 is my sweet spot). My job brings a lot of opportunities for free or reimbursed meals, enough that I can simply plan on having them, so I don't have to buy much food for at home.
