There's $60 billion of electric vehicle capex spend and this flood of competition will hit in 2019 and 2020.
cars are not commodities and their price points are not correlated with how efficient they move a person from point a to point b. Cars also convey social status. How many people would be willing to spend $50k minimum to drive the same Model 3 as everyone else they know? Or would they rather buy an electric BMW, Benz, or from the other dozen OEMs that are coming out with 20 EV models each. no bull can ever name the 1 technology or IP/patent that Tesla has that will allow them to maintain their current market share going forward. That's just the auto biz.
The battery biz is commoditized and the solar biz has never been profitable and is losing more cash each quarter. lidar is the worst of all the technologies out there to leverage autonomous driving and tesla is dead last in this market, which is where all the future value is.

No view on TSLA long or short, but the Model 3 cost is less than $50K. Sure you can whip it up with options but still you're being a bit disingenuous
Tesla also has an amazing brand, arguably better than the German majors, and is much rarer than any BMW / Mercedes / Audi out there
It also satisfies the smug environmentalist quotient so desired by the UMC and MC strivers

Tesla and crypto enthusiasts probably have a ton of overlap
This is among the harshes insults I can imagine for crypto people

My insane coworker is still long from $309 and has 300+ shares
Said he wished he would have bought more on the recent dip
This is about 30% of his net worth btw

not a good bump. dec 2018 was a horrible time for tesla, all the way until june 2019.
tsla was at $179 on june 3, 2019.
most people would've sold some in 2019 at some point.
the real winners who those who bought at $180 in summer 2019 and 1 year later they're straight up
