You would be shocked at how many people I know from AA that have died - especially young people with heroin / cocaine / harder drug addictions. I regularly get calls or talk to people then they'll say - "Remember John Smith, his funeral was last month, he died from overdose / car accident / etc."
A "simple" alcohol / drug addiction can kill you - what OP is doing should scare the shit out of you (and him but it doesn't). The sad truth is that during an addiction like OP's - he is completely taken over by a demon and is not himself - he can't think correctly or assess the consequences of his actions whatsoever. The need to satisfy that craving supersedes everything else in life.
People don't realize how dangerous needles are - I've known multiple people who have died like this thinking they had it completely "under control", their source was "reliable / consistent" etc. But all it takes is one time, just ONCE, to get some stuff that's a little too strong, or cut just a little bit differently, that you just don't wake up from that last hit.
OP why don't you go get suboxone (or if necessary but less optimal methodone)? You can at least get on with life while satisfying that craving, without all the chaos revolving around planning, securing, doing, ordering, rationing, thinking about your drugs? |
