Date: February 19th, 2018 7:08 PM Author: Mind-boggling hateful set I wish I had a few friends in my city. I wish I could see them for dinners or drinks and regular shit. I don't need many. How about 4. 3 might even be fine.
And I wish in my metro area, even out in the burbs, my family lived and I could see them for dinners or events or whatever 1-2x a month and then talked to them on the phone and stuff like regular families.
I wish I weren't so depressed all of the time. I wish my medication worked better. I wish I were more in love with my girlfriend.
In reality I have almost no close friends in my current city and they're either all random people I've kind of stayed in touch with or my gf's friends. My family is spread out all over the country (closest person is my mom who is still like 500+ miles away). My medications kind of work but not enough. I am so depressed I can barely do work and my job, which is like "government" level cushy is even becoming too hard for me which is ridiculous. |

as for friends it's a lot harder but I have been trying to reconnect with people and expand myself when possible |

Situational: basically deep feelings of being lonely and bored which I increasingly tie to my kind of lukewarm feelings toward cohabiting sig other and disconnect from friends and family ... I have very little purpose in life except to work my cushy job and repeat, but even that's really hard for me because I don't even get the simple pleasure of a dinner with my parents
Clinical: I take medication that has depression side effects but I need this medication so it's pretty much inevitable but I do take bupropion |

My job is cushy as fuck man, like 170K income this year and I work 10-4, but I am getting majorly depressed about it because it's isolating me, like I have nothing else except to commute there and back and then live my life until my gf eventually wants to eat dinner, it's better than nothing but no friends, no family, it's lonely and I think trickling down to make me depressed about even going to work |

I know this sounds gay but i've really enjoyed setting up skype chats with old friends at random times. They're often just as bored as you and it feels good
Also planning on trying to join some random clubs to meet more people, though it's probably hopeless to pretend like I have "community" where I live |

late 20s I was striving in my job trying to make it and it was very fulfilling, I even copped a gf
but now the feelings have crashed around me as I've peaked in my job and don't have anything to strive towards
