serious independence movement demanding their own homeland. this is despite the very serious sustained oppression they were subjected to for centuries. if you look at aggrieved minorities all over the world they almost always end up demanding a separate homeland and independence

-- tamils in sri lanka

-- kurds in iraq/turkey
and in almost all these cases the alleged injustice was nothing compared to what happened in our country
american blacks are the only people who were generous enough to be loyal and faithful to a nation that treated them as property for centuries. people dont thank them enough for it
was it because they didn't have a demographic majority in a well defined geographical area or other cultural reasons? You can bet your ass that if Muslims become a large majority in any american state (MI) or even a large well defined part of an american state ( SoCal) we would have an independence movement right away
