if you run it once, then you will have it for all future prospective buyers, even if this guy doesn't end up buying it.
on the other hand, you could just give him the VIN and tell him to run it himself. if the car's important enough for him to spend 2 grand, then you'd think he would be willing to drop 20 bucks to do a little background investigating first.
i don't know, i guess you really can't go wrong either way. how much do you like the guy? is he being a dick? maybe that should play a role.
