The 8th Gen Civic Si (2006-2011) is the last great Civic, at least for that niche group that wants a manual transmission and a high revving naturally aspirated inline 4.

The difference between a non-Si 8th Gen and an Si is the grille (body colored on the Si), the spoiler (unique version on Si), and the wheels (bigger on the Si).

The Si has a better interior: better looking red gauges (instead of blue) and higher quality seats.

It's also only $24100 so stop bitching. Anyone buying an Si should be buying it to do $10k worth of mod work to it anyway. If you drive it stock you are missing the point.

Larger wheels and body-colored bits are generally associated with more desirable models. I'm not exactly taking a crazy position here.

Wagons gained popularity with Crossovers but this is a very recent development. A few years ago the consensus was hatchbacks were done here. Subaru was not alone in killing their wagon. At one point Honda did too.

The Stinger is like a tenth of a second slower than a $130k Porsche Panamera so good luck with that. 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. It's only a second slower than most $300k supercars. The only reason it's $50k and not $90k is it doesn't have a dual clutch transmission and, of course, the Kia badging. It is an insane car that they are selling it basically as a loss lead to build the brand.

WRXs are badly tuned from the factory which is why everyone mods them as soon as they get them. If one of you bitches says again how it's 180 because it has a boxer engine like a Porsche I will lose my shit. Comparing the Subaru implementation of a boxer with a Porsche is a crime against humanity. The Subaru engines dont particularly love to rev and have a lower red line than all comparable engines in the class. About 500-700RPM lower. This is why when Toyota went with a Subaru engine for the 86 they ultimately had to heavily mod it and introduce new low friction composite parts to the cold sections to get the engine to a higher red line. The Toyota mod engines in the 86 are much better than the base Subaru engine in the BRZ.

Stock it's not even as good as a Civic Si. It throws up more hp and that's all. With tuning to work out the power delivery issues it's okay but the current Civics are just more modern designs. Buy a Type R.
