choose a specialization that is always going to be in demand. i know a guy who owns his own sign company. that's what he does - designs, builds, and repairs signs. he makes a lot of money and always has way more demand for business than he can handle.

another good one is closets. you know how hard it is to find a good closet guy? but it's really fucking easy to design and build closets and make big profit margins

I have prole co-workers who used to be welders and they said it sucks. Boomers control everything, there's fierce competition, and wages aren't as high as they used to be. The work itself is also dangerous and unpleasant.
