We should do everything in our power to create an income producing real estate portfolio, passive investment in a business, etc., that can be passed to our kids so they won't need to be white collar slaves and experience the same misery we do.
I often think about who owns the smaller apartment or office buildings in Manhattan. Imagine the people with grandparents who bought some 20 unit building in the 60s when it was cheap. Now image your parents leaving it to you and your siblings and how different your life would have been. |

Purchase rental properties in an ARECOUNTRY or suburban area you're familiar with (maybe where some of your family lives). Even if you manage to buy one every 4-5 years, you'll put together a nice portfolio and they'll be paid off by the time you retire.
