Armed guards in schools are almost universally sworn police officers from the local PD or sheriff's office. Their presence in schools leads to the criminalization of the school code of conduct and an increase of charges brought against children - particularly children of color - which can have life-altering consequences. Stupid shit that kids do which used to be dealt with in the school discipline process is now being sloughed off onto the court system to detrimental effect for the children.

not just criminal acts that result in death, but those that increase the likelihood thereof. remember, you are the guy who thinks that the rights of gun owners should be infringed like a motherfucker because guns increase the likelihood of fatalities occurring, regardless of how small that increase is.

so, armed crimes, drug crimes, etc. there are all kinds of actual crimes that increase the chances for fatalities more than just guns existing. let's come down extremely hard on them so that we have fewer fatalities. that's the goal, right?

What we haven't done to any measure in the U.S. is attempt to deal with the supply problem, nor hold accountable the people who are either careless with their firearms or willfully helping provide firearms.

If I wanted to "infringe like a motherfucker" on the "rights of gun owners", I'd be proposing a wholesale repeal of the 2nd Amendment.
