Cast iron is a reactive metal. Certain foods don't do well on it. Others are 180 due to its nonstick features. Everyone should have an iron skillet AND a stainless steel one. Both have functionality the other cannot duplicate.

Aren't you supposed to "season" them by not fucking cleaning them or something? Disgusting.

Cooking has long been rightly regarded as a prole activity that civilized people don't sully themselves with. Ugh, just thinking about having to slave away in some kitchen preparing food makes me sick. Prole trash scum.

Pain in the ass to clean. If you clean them as recommended I don't think they're really clean and that grosses me out, so we don't use them. We also don't eat meat and searing steaks seems to be the best use for them.

We use our enameled one (Le Creuset dutch oven) all the time. They do chip along the edges, but buy from outlet so they're much cheaper.

what's the benefit of a enameled cast iron versus a copper core stainless steel saute pan? I have both and use neither :(
