You need a "good work history" if you're coming from an area where lots of people apply from (eg finance).
You're better off applying with some wierd but shitty work history to a T6 than to apply from something like finance.

In army, you can't. IMHO, no point in doing military if you're not infantry, SOF or flying something. Here are the available MOS for Marines:
