Kerala is developed not because of the Christians but because of foreign remittances of its expats from the Arab Gulf countries. The Northeast is also a mess though that isn't as much a fault of Northeasterners as it is of Bangladeshi immigrants. Goa has good tourist infrastructure so people might think it is developed. in turn, that meant that caste markers centered around behavior and class more than pure descent. so if you were a street-shitting peasant, you were "burakumin," but if you behaved better, you weren't seen that way. |
