But football doesn't need it, and basketball definitely doesn't. and we’re so far removed from dr. naismith’s original idea of basketball that none of these changes at the margins make the game any more or less “pure” |

he was an ordinary high school player at an ordinary high school. the speed, quickness, strength, and jumping advantage was enormous for the practice team, and they had to slow things down on purpose. |
