If you want to work in asset management or investment research, get a CFA.

If you want to be a lawyer, get a JD.

CFA isn’t necessary to work in asset management. JD is required to go into law, but if it’s non t-14 JD, don’t bother. That also means you’re not smart enough to get hired by any reputable asset management firm, so a CFA is a waste too.
