however, due to my romantic failure/singleness, this allowed my family to offer government officials something of absolutely ZERO value - setting up dates with me.
very amusing to see how incredibly disappointed/repulsed every single person I encountered through these habsburg-style dates were.
the one upside of this is that I was expressly prohibited from paying for anything (because that had a tiny chance of falling afoul of FCPA), so I just enjoyed the free food/drink. |
