Are All Big State Schools Unfriendly & Cold & Don't Coddle?

is it like this at most state schools, or are some worse than others?
we were talking about which is better for kids. she said big state "builds character in the goy sense," but that coddled private school helps make you succeed more. |

the flipside is that with this path out there, it was really hard for my engineering and pre-med bros to maintain their discipline so a lot of them burned out |
