Nosey, busbody people at work, how do you deal with them?

So the woman who was sitting across caught part of it. She then went to ask my coworkers what had happened. She gathered all the details, and when she had a meeting with our boss, she brought it up, lol.
What kind of person does this? She had nothing to do with it, zero involvement, the shit ended in 2 seconds, and this bitch is now giving it a life of its own.
How do you deal with a shitsack like this? |

You're right, work environments suck and they affect your money. Ever taken revenge against anyone? I've lost huge amounts of money due to people who were pretty incompetent but who somehow were more tenured and had enough connections within the company to fuck anyone they wanted over.

They've lost some credibility with upper management though given that we are already understaffed. There are people within their circle who make the same constant mistakes, but don't get reported. I tried to fuck somebody over once and made a complaint all the way to VP levels, even SVP levels. This person was breaking every rule in the company and had already 10+ complaints from other people.
For whatever reason, they could not fire her. I still can't comprehend it, but she'd been at the company for 10 years, had a shitty as hell personality, was incompetent, did not reach her goals, but had some internal connections that allowed her to treat her job like it was her own business.
There's literally no way to get someone like that fired, amirite? Or at least in big shit. |

The one time I couldn't take it was when despite doing all of the above, the bitch who was above me went out of her way to be horrible to every single person who was her subordinate. She ended up keeping only either the youngest, most inexperienced and easy to manipulate or the ones who kissed up to her. She effectively got rid of the most talented people who wouldn't take shit and kept a team of sheep who did mediocre work. |
