Welp. Just got back from an involuntary psych hold in the hospital.

Ironically, it was while I was in the hospital visiting my kid . He's in the ICU and hooked up to a million fucking tubes. The security guards are on some kind of fucking power trip, and it takes like 15 minutes every time I want to get past the security even if I've already checked in for the day. It's like being at the DMV.
Doesn't make me feel great when I feel like I don't know how much more time I'll have with my son and I want to be by his side as much as possible. And at the same time I feel like I'm going to lose my fucking job because I spend so much time with my kid. My boss actually issued me a thinly veiled warning this morning via email. Did I mention wife and I bought a house just before our kid's medical problem started, which I can only afford if I manage to keep my job? My bank account is empty.
Anyway yesterday around midnight I stepped out of the hospital for 5 minutes and got held up at the security desk forever on the way back in. Finally reached my breaking point. Walked right past the fucking guard and went up the stairs to my kid's room. They called the actual police and it all escalated from there. It's kind of a blur TBH.
