The first couple of seasons where nothing happens are probably the best because you can read whatever into it that you want. Later, when they try to actually have drama, the writing gets sloppy. Worst part is Don's downfall going into S7 which comes out of nowhere. Roger and Cooper are both proto-boomers who do nothing, why do they want to run Don off? Ganging up on him like that makes no sense. And even if they did do something like that, they'd be two-faced about it. Cooper is basically like, "fuck you Don! We don't need you!" It's stupid imo.
Of course, Don randomly screwing up those accounts also makes no sense. They could've written an ulterior motive into it or something. I put off watching this shit forever but it's always been on netflix so I'm like, "fuck it." |
